The only thing that can stop any of this is to recognize that our
freedom comes from God and to demand that freedom. Why does God want us
to have freedom? Because it’s only in the free exercise of generosity
that is true charity. Charity is not that which is taken from one and
given to his fellow. That is theft, coercion and bribery all in one act
and so, cannot have virtue.
