      Charlie thanks. I speak of #6 that refers to taxes. You fine though. Thanks for thought provoking memes and your kind diligence. (most maps show Ak. as #9 not #10. As if Ak. is a small island floating in the Gulf of Mexico. In truth, impose Ak. on the U.S. and one see’s the real size comparison. SE Ak. will be in Fla., while the Aleutians will touch Cali.
      Funny story, uncle visited and wanted to see Chicken Ak. So he and friend set off by auto with Ak. roadmap. I’m sure he failed to look at scale on map and was used to Michigan map scale (he’s was from Mi.). He and friend on their merry way promising to return for late supper. (He failed to tell us of real destination, only mentioning “sightseeing”) Wife puts together great meal featuring local veggies, salmon, moose and all the trimmings. Supper passes and no uncle/friend (pre-cell phone days). Bedtime no word or guests? I’m sweating how to explain to Mi. family how I lost their Dad. Next day late afternoon they show up unscathed. He explained they went to Chicken and then decided to cross border into Dawson, Yukon, Canada. Well fine but unbeknownst to them the Canadians shut the border gate at 9pm no if, ands or buts. They couldn’t reenter till next morning. We always called my Uncle Joe, “Slo-Joe” for some reason. True story.
      Kinda why I hate the maps displayed in most schools. They don’t display the vast expanse of this great state. I live in Palmer and to drive to Chicken is around 360 miles.
